About the Role

As an Applications Engineer at TSS, you will be working closely with our sales and engineering teams to support pre- and post-sales customer engagements. The right candidate will have a combination of technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a strong focus on customer success.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical expertise and account management supporting the sale of TSS IP 

  • Deliver technical presentations and training; participate in industry trade shows and webinars 

  • Contribute to sales and technical marketing materials, including: 

  • Presentations, Application notes, FAQs, and Documentation 

  • Training and Lab materials 

  • Silicon reports including functional and electrical characterization of TSS IP 

  • Field customer inquiries and requests regarding TSS IP; manage/track customer support activities and document delivery  

  • Participate in internal/customer bring-up and validation activities including: 

  • Diagnostic and characterization of TSS interface IP products 

  • ESD, reliability and production test qualification for IP products 

  • Understand emerging protocols and customer requirements to further improve TSS IP 

  • May include future travel to customer locations, up to 25% 

Requirements

  • Bachelor/Master in Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3-7 years experience (applications engineering/customer-facing experience preferred) 

  • Excellent communication skills and problem solving skills  

  • Professional experience with: 

  • High-speed memory (GDDR/LPDDR/HBM) interfaces 

  • SOC memory sub-systems, configurations, and trade-off analysis 

  • Verification, validation, and debug of digital logic; integration of digital sub-systems/IP 

  • High-speed signal measurement, validation, and characterization; jitter measurement and analysis 

  • Operation of test instruments including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, BERTs, logic analyzer 

  • Programming, HDL, and scripting languages (C/C++, Verilog, Perl, Python, Tcl, etc)
